Christmas was a a Success!!

Christmas arrived at the Fairchild house just as it always does, right on time. What could we do but, observe all the requisite traditions? First there was the decorating of the Christmas Tree and the taking of the traditional Christmas photo in front of said tree.

Then there was the cookie making which, as you can see got decidedly out of control this year! Perhaps you will notice the flour on faces, in hair, on clothes, etc.

On Christmas Eve we opened ONE present. Surprise!! Everybody got new pajamas!

Then of course, David needed to "model" his DC Comic pants.

On Christmas Morning, as tradition dictates, everyone lined up youngest to oldest for the march downstairs.

Stockings and their contents were discovered...

The presents were opened were opened with delightful abandon and then were left with this...

The scary part is that this is not even the worst of it!! It got much, much worse as the day went on. There was even an unfortunate accident between David and that bucket you see there on the left. I think the bucket won since he ended up on the floor!!

Suffice it to say we had a wonderful and extremely blessed Christmas this year! We are gratefully looking forward to a new year and a new decade in our lives.

  5. Oops! That was supposed to be: "I'm GLAD everyone had fun." Gotta start using spell check. Or at least re-reading what I wrote.
